AUT 2018 - Lingerie and Untypical materials

While away on exchange it was imperative to explore techniques, fit and application for what I may want to focus on for my final collection. With this in mind the main focus became lingerie and bra block development. It was unique chance to compare how different materials may work with on another, and juxtapose what is expected when you think of intimates. I practiced 3D sculpting and how it may conform to the body, along with how it may be incorporated into the actual fabrication of a bra.

For AUT social impact and design is a major factor so when styling this collection it was decided to wrap the model in plastic to represent the polyester impact from our choices. while the harshness of the material contradicts the delicacy of the design and burnout cotton material used.
